  3.      The INVESTOR'S EDGE is a shareware program.  You may make copies for 
  4.      yourself or others but if you, or others, use the program you are
  5.      expected to remit a $49.00 registration fee to:

  12.      This file and the file TUTORIAL provides sufficient information for
  13.      the user to achieve a general understanding and ability to run the
  14.      program.  However, registered users will receive a 68 page high quality
  15.      bound USER'S MANUAL with detail information on the finer points of the
  16.      program.  Serious users should have this manual.  The TUTORIAL file may
  17.      be screened by typing  TYPE TUTORIAL |MORE.

  19.      This READTHIS file contains installation instructions to bring the program
  20.      on screen.  The TUTORIAL provides instructions to familiarize you with the
  21.      program by working with the TUTORIAL account and its investment files.

  23.                                  INSTALLATION
  24.      The program INSTALL.EXE must be run to use The INVESTOR'S EDGE.  First
  25.      make a copy of the program disk and use the copy thereafter.  The program
  26.      may be installed on a hard drive or on a 720K or 1.2 MEG disk but running
  27.      from a floppy disk is not recommended due to speed.  Place the disk in a
  28.      drive, type INSTALL and press ENTER and follow instructions.  (If the 
  29.      program was downloaded to a hard disk, the installation program will
  30.      copy the files to a floppy disk and will continue on to reinstall the
  31.      files to the proper directories on the hard disk).

  33.                              RUNNING THE PROGRAM
  34.      On completion of the installation an instruction appears to type IE
  35.      and press ENTER.  At other times you may have to type C:\IE (assuming
  36.      you are installed in the C drive).  The program will load and the logo
  37.      will appear followed by a version notice.  Press ENTER and a special
  38.      message will appear.  Read the message and press ENTER again.  The
  39.      INTRODUCTORY MENU will appear.  Then refer to the TUTORIAL printout.

  41.                      NOTE REGARDING THE SUPPLEMENTARY PROGRAMS   
  42.      The supplementary programs are in no way related to the main portfolio
  43.      management program.  No documentation is included in the tutorial for
  44.      these programs but they are well covered in the USER'S MANUAL.

  46.      Register now and your USER'S MANUAL will be shipped promptly.  To print
  47.      a program  description and registration form type  COPY DESCRIBE PRN.
